The Swanson household has been abuzz for the past few days in preparation for the Upper Midwest Koi Show in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I picked up my dad, Michael Hernandez, from the airport tonight as he was invited to judge this year’s Koi show together with Mr. Henry Culpepper from Florida. From what I hear, they are both quite excited to share this judging experience together.
Tomorrow, or in a few hours rather, fishes will start coming in from all over to compete for the chance to with one of the hand-painted Koi trophies that the club has to offer. Here is a video from last year’s koi show:
Devin will be assisting in benching the Koi tomorrow while I get the happy job of setting up his booth. Koi shows are always a lot of fun for me and I’m excited to see who this year’s winner will be!
